A lakeside Tai Tapu home transformed for returning Cantabrians who needed more light and connection. Bay windows removed, ceilings opened to the roof pitch, and every room reworked around cedar, oak, clay plaster, and bluestone. A steel portal frame unlocked the living room; a new skylight drew light into the kitchen; gardens by the clients’ daughter – landscape architect Julie Greenslade – extend to the lake edge.
